My path to becoming a counsellor began with a longstanding curiosity about what shapes us as human beings - biologically, psychologically, and emotionally. I began my academic journey studying Biology, drawn particularly to the complexities of the brain, the heart, and the profound relationship between the two. Through my exposure to psychology, that curiosity developed into a deeper calling: to understand the human experience and to support people through the deeply personal work of healing, growth, and change.

At the foundation of my practice is a belief in human resilience. Even when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or far removed from what we imagined for ourselves, I believe we possess an extraordinary capacity to adapt, heal, and rediscover a sense of direction. Sometimes, however, we need a space in which we can slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and begin to see ourselves and our circumstances with greater clarity.

My approach to counselling is person-centred, relational, and grounded in genuine curiosity about the individual sitting across from me. I do not believe therapy should be about fitting people into predetermined narratives or telling them who they should become. Instead, I seek to understand the experiences, relationships, patterns, strengths, and vulnerabilities that have shaped each person’s unique story.

I strive to create a therapeutic relationship characterized by warmth, authenticity, and thoughtful challenge - a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment while also feeling supported in examining the patterns that may no longer be serving you. Together, we can explore not only what is causing distress, but what lies beneath it: the experiences that have shaped you, the beliefs you have carried, the ways you have learned to protect yourself, and the possibilities that emerge when those patterns are understood differently.

For me, meaningful therapy extends beyond simply alleviating symptoms. It is an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your relationship with your own emotions, and cultivate the confidence and insight to navigate life with greater intention.

You do not need to arrive in therapy knowing exactly what is wrong or precisely what needs to change. You may simply recognize that something feels unsettled, that familiar patterns are no longer working, or that you want something different for yourself and your relationships.

Wherever you find yourself in that process, I would be honoured to meet you there and to help you move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and authentically your own.
