Elise Robinson
Hi, I’m Elise, and I’m so glad you’re here to explore counselling as part of your journey. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#22540) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and hold a Masters in Counselling from City University of Seattle.
I take a client-centered, attachment-informed, and collaborative approach to counselling. I primarily work with adults navigating a variety of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and personal or identity exploration.
As a biracial woman, I draw on my own lived experience of navigating bicultural identity to foster empathy and understanding. This helps me support clients exploring their own sense of identity, belonging, and cultural or personal conflicts. In our sessions, I strive to create a warm and supportive environment where you feel safe to be seen, heard, and understood. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change.
I take an integrative approach, combining evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy with an attachment-informed framework and somatic practices, creating strategies and techniques that are tailored to your unique needs. I’m committed to tailoring our sessions to meet what you’re looking for, whether that be working toward a specific goal or taking a more exploratory approach. If you’re considering counselling as a next step, I’d love for you to reach out so we can explore whether working together is a good fit.
Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me spending time in nature, experimenting with new skincare, enjoying time with my loved ones, or tending to my six backyard hens!
